Original vintage travel advertising poster: Brighton for health and pleasure all year round - featuring an image of a fashionably dressed gentleman wearing Regency style clothing with a hat and holding a monocle and cane with the Brighton Pavilion (Royal Pavilion), the Peace Statue (Monument to Edward VII located on the Promenade between Brighton and Hove), buildings and church spires and well dressed people in the background and a windmill visible on the South Downs on the horizon, the stylised information text below. Artwork by the British painter and graphic artist, Elijah Albert Cox (1876-1955). Printed for the LB&SCR by WHSmith - the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) was formed in 1846 and ran regular train services until 1922 when it was merged to form Southern Railway. Brighton is located in Sussex on the South Coast of England and is a popular seaside resort on a direct train line from London. Good condition, light folds, repaired small tears.
