Sport Poster Parachute Training World Record DOSAAF. Original vintage Soviet poster encouraging sportsmen parachutists to practice parachute jumping and deliver more international records for the VI Spartakiad of Peoples of the USSR in 1975. Dynamic design featuring a parachutist in flight before his parachute fully opens with a river visible on the land below, the text in stylised blue and red letters with logos above. Dosaaf; the Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation and Fleet was founded in 1927 for the development of paramilitary sports as a preparation for reserve armed forces. The Spartakiad of Peoples of the USSR were multi-event sport competitions held every four years from 1956-1991, open to everyone from ordinary people to professional athletes.
