Advertising Poster International Order Of Good Templars Brotherhood. Original vintage advertising poster for the International Order of Good Templars in the Netherlands - Brotherhood (Broederschap). The IOGT is a fraternal organisation which is part of the temperance movement, promoting abstinence from alcohol and drugs. Founded in 1851, their constitution claims that this will lead to the liberation of peoples of the world, this leading to a richer, freer and more rewarding life. The slogan below, in strong red font reads 'Sobriety, Peace and Brotherhood'. The image features two men, styled like bronze maquettes shaking hands above a globe. This is a stock poster that was printed in Sweden by Wezata and overprinted with text in Netherlands. Condition: Good condition, folds and small tears at bottom taped at the back. Country of printing: Sweden, designer: S Krebe, size (cm): 100x62, year of printing: 1930s.
