Advertising Poster Liberty Exhibition WWII Henrion Dove London Blitz West End. Original vintage advertising poster For Liberty Exhibition paintings by Members of the Artists International Association at John Lewis Blitzed Site from March 13th to April 10th, the poster features a great illustration by the notable graphic designer Frederic Henri Kay Henrion (1914-1990) depicting a white dove held in red hands set over black and blue background. The Artists International Association / AIA was founded in 1933 with the purpose to defeat fascism and its manifestations through art, the founders were Pearl Binder, Clifford Rowe, Misha Black, James Fitton, James Boswell, James Holland, Edward Ardizzone, Peter Laszlo Peri and Edith Simon. The For Liberty Exhibition took place in a Nazi Germany bombed-out John Lewis West End department store on Oxford Street, the venue held multiple public exhibition during the World War Two.
