Colourful illustration by the Australian artist John Vickery (1906-1983) depicting a postman with a grey beard wearing a beige uniform jacket and carrying a mail bag over his shoulder, looking to the viewer, with people by the Receiving Post Office building in the background and palm trees against a blue sky with the stylised text and GPO crown logo in the white border below.
