Original vintage French advertising poster for Ducretet Thomson The Voice Of The World In Every Home / La "Voix Du Monde" Dans Chaque Foyer. Great illustration by the French artist Pierre Boucher (1908-2000) featuring a black and white photograph of a radio in the foreground in a stylised room design with a farm worker holding a hay fork over one shoulder and his jacket over his other shoulder, walking below white clouds in a clear blue sky towards the door, the text above and below with a list of radio broadcasts on the side including cours agricoles, causeries, musique, chants, theatre, bourse, reportages / agricultural courses, talk shows, music and singing, theatre, money and financial markets, and news reports. The award winning notable French scientist Eugene Adrien Ducretet (1844-1915) opened his first workshop in 1864 producing scientific instruments and apparatus; in 1931 the company was sold to Thomson-Houston.
