Advertising Poster Sindbad Drury Lane Pantomime Hassall. Original antique theatre poster for a Drury Lane Pantomime show Sindbad written and invented by the playwrights J. Hickory Wood and Arthur Collins. Colourful image by the notable English illustrator, poster designer and cartoonist John Hassall (1868-1948) depicting a giant egg on a sandy beach with a huge baby bird poking it's head out of a crack while a cartoon boy wearing a turban and holding an axe runs away scared. Traditional Christmas pantomimes have been held at the Drury Lane Theatre in Covent Garden, London, since the early 1700s. Horizontal. Good condition, creasing, tears, minor staining.
