Original vintage travel poster issued by DB Deutsche Bundesbahn featuring a colourful illustration stylised as a cave painting depicting two yellow and blue people as silhouettes shooting arrows with a railway train track in the foreground. Text in black over the image: Safely to the Goal / Sicher zum Ziel. Artwork by Hans Schmandt (1920-1993). Formed in 1949 with the establishment of the Federal Republic of Germany the German Federal Railway provided railway services until 1993 when it merged with the East German railways to form Deutsche Bahn AG.
