Advertising Poster Davis Sewing Machine Crafting Fabric Original antique advertising poster for Davis Machines Les Seules Cousant Sans Embu / Davis machines the only ones that sew without mist, featuring an illustration of a large hand holding a sewing machine with a writing on its side - Gd. Diplome d'Honneur du Travail 1890 / Gd. Honorary Diploma of Labor 1890, bold black and blue lettering over yellow background. The Davis Sewing Machine Company was established in 1868 in New York producing unconventional "vertical feed" sewing machines with two presser feet, the company was awarded for improvements in the existing shuttle designs, later starting to manufacture bicycles, until liquidating in 1924. Printed by Ch. Wall & Cie 14 Rue Lafayette Paris. Good condition, fold, creasing, staining, foxing, printing error, two punched holes on the margins, tear.
