Advertising Poster Steinlen Gil Blas Ces Dames Lafforest. Original antique illustration by the notable Art Nouveau painter and printmaker Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen (1859-1923) titled Ces Dames Laffoorest, par Macel L'heureux/ These Ladies Laffoorest, by Marcel L'heureux, depicting two gentlemen in elegant clothing and top hats watching a performance, while two women dance in the background. The image is trimmed from the front page of Journal Gil Blas N. 49 from 8 December 1895. Gil Blas was a Parisian literary periodical founded by the sculptor Augustin-Alexandre Dumont in November 1879.
