Advertising Poster Shipshape Pinup Girl Sailor Cruise Ship Captain. Original vintage pin-up poster titled Shipshape features artwork by Earl Steffa Moran (1893-1984) depicting a smiling lady in black-and-white clothing and a sailor's hat resting against cruise ship railings with white birds flying on a cobalt blue background. Earl Moran rose to national fame in the 1930s and �40s through his successful pin-up art, including work with Brown & Bigelow and men's magazines like Beauty Parade, and famously collaborated with a young Marilyn Monroe, who modeled for him over several years. Later in life, he shifted focus to fine art nudes after moving to Las Vegas, continuing to paint until 1982 when his eyesight failed, and he passed away in 1984.
