Original antique magazine advertising poster for the American periodical Scribner's (1887-1939) featuring a colourful illustration by Will Grefe (1875-1957) of a fashionable lady in an Edwardian style dress with the stylised title text above and headings on the side listing the six short stories - Skipper by Sewell Ford (illustrated in colors by F.D. Steele), The Southern Mountaineer by John Fox Jr, A Day With A Tramp by Walter A. Wyckoff author of The Workers, Two Centres Of Moorish Art by the painter Edwin Lord Weeks, Another Raffles Story by E.W. Hornung and Mrs Gilbert's Reminiscences illustrated - with the text Now Ready Price 25 Cents along the bottom. The artist Will Grefe also worked for The Saturday Evening Post and other magazines including Life and Cosmopolitan. Good condition, repaired tear.
