Advertising Poster Scribners Magazine July Coney Island New York USA. Original antique magazine advertising poster for the American periodical Scribner's (1887-1939) featuring a black and white image depicting a family heading out for a fun time at the popular Coney Island beach and seaside amusement park in Brooklyn New York in the late 1800s with the man wearing a black hat and holding a young girl with a ribbon on her hat and the lady carrying a baby set inside a white background with the stylised text above and below: Coney-Island by Julian Ralph and Henry McCarter in July Scribner's. Julian Ralph (1853-1903) was a reporter and author; Henry McCarter (1866-1942) was an illustrator and painter. Good condition, tears, pinholes.
