Art Deco Magazine Paul Colin Posters Arts et Metiers Graphiques Graphic Art 1929 AMG. Original vintage magazine Arts et Metiers Graphiques No 10 15 March 1929. Luxurious French bimonthly graphic art and photography publication, established in 1927, last issued in 1939. The cover of the magazine has a bright green background with title in white lettering. The first page of the issue features lithograph by Edy Legrand, followed by an artwork by Lucien Boucher with a quote over it 'DEVAMBEZ has secured the exclusive collaboration of Cappiello, R. de Valerio and Lucien Boucher'; an article on mannequins featuring photographs by Hoyningen-Huene; gravures by Alexeieff titled The Queen of Spades, The Nights of Siberia, Alexeieff for the Brothers Karamasov on the presses of Mourlot and others; an article titled The graphic richness of Chinese ideograms, with antique and modern forms of Chinese hieroglyphs with translations for each character; posters by Paul Colin; an article on the engraving and the tools and techniques used with some examples of gravures in art works and print; an article with stunning prints on 'papiers de garde' or book end paper; posters by Francis Bernard, Carlu, Paul Colin, Cometti, J. Towe, Atelier Renejean. The issue pages start numeration at 587 and finish at 644, with some pages numbered with Roman numbers. Good condition, rust on staples, light staining on the cover, light paper skimming in the spine, light foxing on the introduction pages.
