Travel Poster National Parks Our Heritage Dovedale. Original vintage travel poster - National Parks Our Heritage - Dovedale, seen here in an eighteenth-century water-colour by Joseph Wright of Derby (1734-1797), is the best known of the limestone dales which grace the southern part of the Peak District National Park. Today the steep-sided slopes are covered with fine trees but the visitor can still walk along this same footpath and enjoy, as Joseph Wright did, the unspoiled beauty of this valley. The ten National Parks of England and Wales have been established to keep unspoiled such beautiful landscapes so that, whatever changes in our way of life the years may bring, we and our heirs may continue to enjoy our heritage of natural beauty. Prepared for the National Parks Commission by the Central Office of Information. Printed in England for HM Stationery Office by W.S Cowell LTD, Ipswich. Good condition, folds, creasing, tear on top left corner. Country of issue: UK, designer: Joseph Wright of Derby, size (cm): 51x38, year of printing: 1960s.
