Advertising Poster Milestone Exhibition Mijlpaal WWII Netherlands Liberation. Original vintage advertising poster for Mijlpaal 1950 / Milestone 1950 exhibition, featuring an illustration of a man walking towards a house with green trees, blooming flowers, agricultural fields and a rainbow above, with one foot behind in torn clothing and barbed wire and another foot in elegant trousers and leather shoe stepping forward toward 1950, symbolising the escape from the grip of war and occupation and the positive development after the liberation. The exhibition Milestone 1950 was held in the Zypendaal and Sonsbeek parks, with various pavilions on subjects of reconstruction, art, industry, economy, defence, and Marshall aid, with a Pavilion 1945 showing what had already been achieved in the five years after the liberation. Printed by Kohn & Zoon, Rotterdam. Good condition, folds, pinholes, tears, staining. Country of issue: Netherlands, designer: Doeve, size (cm): 49x31, year of printing: 1950.
