London Underground Poster East Acton Station Architecture GWR Brian Lewis Art Deco. Original hand drawn architect design for a London Underground station East Acton tube station featuring an image of the station building designed by Brian Lewis (1906-1991). This stunning Art Deco design was not implemented most likely because of the Second World War. The station is located on the Central line of the London Underground, the station was built by the initiative of Great Western Railway in 1905, the Central London Railway gained approval for the station in 1911, the construction and opening of the station were delayed until 1920 due the World War One. The station served both passenger and cargo trains (between 1938-1964). By Architects Office GWR Paddington Station W2. Good condition, creasing, staining, pinholes, tears.
