Original vintage propaganda poster Map Review No 53 Published May 8th 1948, featuring an article titled United Europe? on the Congress of Europe in Hague; Northern Customs Union of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Iceland taking part in the working committee for the Marshall Plan; Western Union and Benelux; European Customs Union; and treaties of mutual assistance. The reverse of the poster features an article Spending the Household Income captioned 'I just can't think where it all goes', with a map of Great Britain in a shape of a running lady and the spending portrayed over balloons attached on schilling coin ropes, with blue balloons depicting essential items of expenditure, the white - the non-essentials, lighter coins depicting post-war and darker the pre-war spending.
