Propaganda Poster Map Review 53 United Europe Spending Income. Original vintage propaganda poster Map Review No 53 Published May 8th 1948, featuring an article titled United Europe? on the Congress of Europe in Hague; Northern Customs Union of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Iceland taking part in the working committee for the Marshall Plan; Western Union and Benelux; European Customs Union; and treaties of mutual assistance. The reverse of the poster features an article Spending the Household Income captioned 'I just can't think where it all goes', with a map of Great Britain in a shape of a running lady and the spending portrayed over balloons attached on schilling coin ropes, with blue balloons depicting essential items of expenditure, the white - the non-essentials, lighter coins depicting post-war and darker the pre-war spending.
