Advertising Poster EMB West Indian Arrowroot Turtle. Original vintage advertising double-sided poster card Buy British West Indian St. Vincent Arrowroot 1930s. This card is one of a series being issued to retail grocers by the Empire Marketing Board. The series is designed to include a variety of Empire groceries and provisions, each Empire country being represented by a different animal. Good condition, punch hole on top of the card, creases on margins, pen and pencil writings on the back side. Country: UK. Year: 1930s. Designer: Frederick Charles Herrick, born 1887, died 1970. Designed posters for the Underground Group and London Transport 1920-1933. Educated; Leicester College of Art and Crafts, Royal College of Art. Was also known by the name F C Herrick.
