Original antique travel poster for Mayson's Ordnance Model of the Lake District exhibited daily during the year at the Lake District Repository Lake Road Keswick featuring colourful bold Wild West style lettering with an illustration of a building in the centre, the text below the image introduces the model in detail with an ornate leaf decoration and frame around the image. Mayson's ordnance survey model was commissioned in 1875 by Henry and Thomas Mayson with accurate mathematical maps portraying an overview of the Lake District landscape in North West England that was displayed in until the 1970s as a tourist attraction. The Lake District National Park is a popular holiday destination that was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. Good condition, staining on edges, foxing, minor tear on edge.
