London Underground Poster Greenford Station Art Deco Architecture GWR Brian Lewis. Original hand drawn architect design for a London Underground station Greenford tube station features an image of the curved station building designed by Brian Lewis (1906-1991). This elegant Art Design was partially implemented and features both GWR logo and London Underground roundels on the side of the station. Greenford station is on the Greenford branch line and Central line of the London Underground, the station was first opened by the Great Western Railway in 1904, the extension to the original station designed by Lewis and built before the Second World War as part of the New Works Programme of the London Passenger Transport Board in 1935-1940s, but due to the delays caused by the World War Two it was completed by Frederick Francis Charles Curtis and opened on 30 June 1947. By Architects Office GWR Paddington Station. Good condition, creasing, staining, pinholes. Country of issue: UK, designer: Brian Lewis, size (cm): 69x48, year of printing: 1938.
